Valuable part of children folklore collection in the YIVO archives are extracts made by Shmuel Zanvil Pipe. Originals of many texts he copied did not survived (at least it seems so from the collections available online). His materials spread between different parts of the collections, so here I just group together parts of the same corpus of the children rhymes, into which he copied materials from YIVO archives, from publications and, perhaps, his own field records.
- Records of the YIVO Ethnographic Committee (RG 1.2). Addendum I, undated, 1918-1940. Box 15, Folder 176 (RG 1.2). "Rhymes and rhyme schemes" [by Sh. Z. Pipe].
- Records of the YIVO Ethnographic Committee (RG 1.2). Addendum II, undated, 1928-1930. Box 19, Folder 213 "Folktales, undated" [extract from lectures on music in Russian and Yiddish; continuation of Sh. Z. Pipe extracts of rhymes: p. 19-20]
- Records of the YIVO Ethnographic Committee (RG 1.2). Addendum I, undated, 1918-1940. Box 18, Folder 201 "Various, undated, 1926-1933" [continuation of Sh. Z. Pipe extracts of rhymes]
- Records of the YIVO Ethnographic Committee (RG 1.2). Addendum II, undated, 1928-1930. Box 19, Folder 207 "Childrens' songs, undated" [continuation of Sh. Z. Pipe extracts of rhymes]
As an example of scattered materials I can give two records of the same rhyme, which were written on the same piece of paper, then torn into two and later these two pieces ended up in to different folders in different parts of the archyves (b. 19, f. 207 and b. 15, f. 176)
